Terms of Use
Last updated: August 18, 2026
1. The Service
Michi-no-Eki Stamps ("the Service") lets you record stamps you have collected at michi-no-eki and expressway service and parking areas, see them on a map, and see what other people have collected.
The Service is a personal, non-commercial project run by an individual. It is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, and may change or shut down at any time. It is currently in testing, and data loss is possible.
2. Your account
You need an account to publish check-ins; browsing does not require one. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms.
3. Your content
Photos and comments you publish remain yours. By publishing them you give us permission to store and display them within the Service, including to people who are not signed in. This permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies already cached by our infrastructure providers.
You confirm that you took the photo yourself and that publishing it does not break anyone else's rights.
4. What is not allowed
- Photographing identifiable people without their consent
- Publishing anyone's personal data — addresses, documents, licence plates
- Content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, sexual, or harassing
- Advertising, spam, or bulk automated posting
- Checking in at places you have not actually visited
- Automated collection of data from the Service (scraping), or attempts to circumvent its access rules
We may remove any content or account that breaks these rules, without notice.
To report content, email michinoeki.stamps@gmail.com.
5. Stamps and third-party rights
Stamp designs, logos, and names belong to the organisations that operate each location. The Service shows photographs taken by its users, and does not claim any right to those designs, nor is it affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated in cooperation with any michi-no-eki, NEXCO, or their associations.
If you represent such an organisation and want specific content removed, email michinoeki.stamps@gmail.com and we will act on it.
6. Accuracy
Information about locations — names, coordinates, opening hours, whether a stamp exists and where to find it — is compiled from public sources and from users, and may be wrong or out of date. Check before you travel. We are not responsible for a wasted trip.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the Service, including lost data, unavailability, or content published by other users.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Osaka District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute arising in connection with the Service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the Service before they take effect.
